You are Brett Lee. They are the British. It is your sole mission in life to bowl them into submission. You have 18 bowls to score as high as you can!

Launching the cricket ball requires making 3 choices: Pace, Line & Length, and Cut.
  • Pace: The speed of your bowl. You may choose to bowl Slow, Medium, or Fast pace, but must time your mouse click to achieve maximum effectiveness. Note that the speed of your bowl affects your accuracy, however Faster is generally better.
  • Line & Length: Where your bowl bounces on the pitch (ground). The accuracy of your aim depends on the speed you selected in Pace. Once selected, a red 'X' will appear where your bowl will actually bounce. Different parts of the pitch are better than others! Also, depending on where you aim, you have a chance to gain special bonuses or penalties to your bowl - Yorker, Bouncer, Corridor of Uncertainty, Half Volley, etc.
  • Cut: This causes your bowl to bounce in a particular direction once it hits the ground. It makes the bowl more difficult for the batsmen to hit, and can also affect whether or not you have a chance to hit the stumps with your bowl. IE - if you bowl to the 'Off' side of the stumps, you want some 'Off Cut' if you want a chance to hit the stumps. Note that you are not selecting the angle of Cut - once you choose 'Off', 'Leg', or 'None', your click merely determines how much harder it is for the batsman to hit. You want the needle to be at its maximum.

After making these three selections, you will bowl! Good Luck!

  • Don't bowl too many of the same Pace at the same Line and Length in a row - the batsman will start to predict you!
  • Making a surprise bowl every now and then can throw the batsman off guard...
  • Bouncers make the batsman nervous...
  • Selections are not made until you 'release' the mousebutton. You can use this information to increase your accuracy!
  • Remember, different parts of the pitch are better at different paces than others!
  • When choosing a Line & Length, if you release when the aiming circle is smallest, your aim will be more accurate.
